About ‘Sogube - Guaíra'

Founded in 1964, Sociedade Guairense de Beneficência is a compassionate organization with a mission to assist children and adolescents facing social vulnerability, ensuring the protection of their rights. Led by Chairman Miguel Marques de Carvalho (2021/2024) and Executive Manager Marcia Matsumoto Gonçalves (2021/2024), the organization aspires to be a self-sustainable entity offering innovative, nationally recognized quality services until 2023. Serving 650 children annually, aged 6 to 18, through programs such as the City of Boys Oswaldo Ribeiro de Mendonça, Guarda Mirim Prof. Arlindo Alves, and the Child and Adolescent Care Center, Sociedade Guairense de Beneficência operates during morning and afternoon hours, providing daily meals to address both emotional and basic needs. Committed to fostering lasting positive change, the organization aims to remain a steadfast source of support beyond 2023.

The projects

These volunteers have enthusiastically dedicated their time and effort to contribute significantly to Sociedade Guairense de Beneficência, enhancing its facilities through two impactful projects. With a total of 9 volunteers, they first revamped the company's restroom facilities by painting them. Additionally, with the assistance of 5 volunteers, they applied gravel to the bike rack. The collective commitment of these devoted volunteers not only improved the physical environment but also contributed to the overall well-being experience of the children and adolescents supported by Sociedade Guairense de Beneficência. Special thanks to Anderson Paulo, Ernando Moreira, Emerson Ferrari, Fábio Oliveira, João Paulo, Maicon Endrigo, Mayone Gaia, Renato Sergio, and Vagner Mendes for their dedication to this meaningful volunteer work.
