Growing a Greener Future: Earth Day 2025 with Barenbrug USA

In honor of Earth Day 2025, Barenbrug USA brought our commitment to sustainability to life through a Helping with Hands project at Periwinkle Point in Albany, Oregon, partnered with the Albany Parks & Recreation. Our team came together with a shared passion for giving back to the environment, making a meaningful and lasting impact on the local ecosystem.

Our impact

  • Planted 100 Red Alder trees to enrich the soil and provide essential habitat for local wildlife.
  • Installed 5 bluebird houses to support native bird populations and encourage greater biodiversity.
  • Cleared litter from riverbanks, helping to protect aquatic life and enhance community spaces.
  • Removed invasive blackberries, creating space for native plants to thrive and restoring natural balance.

 

These efforts not only enhanced the beauty and health of Periwinkle Point but also reinforced our core values of environmental stewardship and community engagement.
