France: Barenbrug Tourneur Recherches supports Institute for blind children of Toulouse in Helping with Hands project

BARENBRUG TOURNEUR RECHERCHES has taken up a Helping with Hands project to support IJA in Toulouse, one hour away from our location in Mas Grenier. IJA, Institute for Blind Children, exists since 1869. Their mission is to accommodate and to help children, young people and adults facing a visual handicap situation, sometimes associated with other difficulties, and their families.

IJA

Barenbrug Tourneur Recherches contacted IJA of Toulouse in November 2017 and expressed their willingness to help them improve their interior patio, which is about 100 m2. With this project, children and IJA’s employees will be able to play and relax in a more pleasant environment.

First day: 20th March 2018.

12 people from BTR (Barenbrug Tourneur Recherches) helped to prepare the patio’s area to plant ready lawn turfgrass. They also planted aromatic plants, flowers and sowed some area with Barenbrug flower mixture. Plants, bushes and shrubs already present have been trimmed and some nice white pebbles have been positioned in order to make sure that the area was easy to look after.

 Second day: 22th March 2018.

5 people of Barenbrug Tourneur Recherches installed the ready lawn turf in the patio. The educative team and the children were sincerely thankful for our work. Their thanks, smiles, eyes and happiness were a fantastic reward! Barenbrug Tourneur Recherches hopes to continue this project with IJA for the years to come.

Everyone was very happy to dedicate this day to IJA, with great result!
